The Pierneef English Art Festival for Drama creates an opportunity for all English Home Language speakers, as well as speakers of indigenous languages, to perform and share the richness of their literature  with each other.

In the case of indigenous work an adjudicator who understands the language, will be employed. A neatly typed, translated copy of indigenous works in English should also be provided before the festival. This will be shared with the audience to increase the understanding of the work.

We hope that high schools will make use of this opportunity to share our cultural heritage.
